PIVOT 2026: Build with AI

Ready to move beyond chatting with AI and actually build practical tools for your work? PIVOT 2026: Build with AI is a beginner-friendly, hands-on AI workshop and playground hosted at the AICB Centre of Excellence. Designed for executives, working professionals, and curious university builders, this session is free to attend and requires zero coding experience. Complete beginners are highly encouraged to join. If you have only ever used ChatGPT or Claude to ask questions, or have never built anything with AI before, this day is designed with you in mind. Our mentors will guide you step by step, at your own pace. Whether you want to automate tedious reporting, build a custom workflow for your team, or turn a daily bottleneck into a working solution, you will be guided step-by-step from idea to execution. Participants will get access to AI build tools on the day. Access details will be shared before the event. You will sit alongside peers and patient build mentors from the Malaysian AI Residency, and leave with a first prototype or a clear plan to finish one. What to Expect Opening (9:00 AM – 10:25 AM): Welcome and opening remarks, a Build Lab kick-off (platform introduction and housekeeping), a short sharing on the power of building with AI, and a quick introduction to your mentors. Guided AI Build Lab (10:25 AM – 2:35 PM): Sit at tables matched to your comfort level and get step-by-step support from Malaysian AI mentors to shape your idea and build a working tool in plain English. AI Build Tools Access: Participants will get access to AI build tools on the day. Access details will be shared before the event. Interactive AI Playground (12:00 PM – 2:35 PM): Drop by our 1-on-1 AI Clinic for tailored workflow advice, explore Create Better Content with AI, and connect with peers at the Malaysian AI Community Hub. Participant Show & Tell (2:45 PM – 3:45 PM): A short guest showcase, then practical tools and real workplace solutions built by your peers during the day. Closing & Group Photo (3:45 PM – 4:00 PM): A short wrap-up on what's next, then a group photo. The programme ends at 4:00 PM. Optional: Malaysian AI Community Hour (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM): Stay on to network with fellow builders and the Malaysian AI community, and find out about upcoming meetups and residency activities. Optional. Tea Breaks & Lunch: We'll keep you going with tea breaks through the day. Lunch (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM) isn't included, so pack your own or pop out to one of the many spots nearby during the midday break.
