Use public data and AI to help a Southeast Asian community understand or respond to a local climate risk.
The Brief
Communities across Southeast Asia face growing risks from floods, extreme heat, haze, coastal change, and severe weather. Useful public data exists, but it is often fragmented across technical reports, maps, sensor feeds, and government portals.
Build an AI-powered tool that helps a specific community understand or respond to one local climate risk. Your project might translate technical data into neighbourhood-level explanations, compare risk scenarios, summarise changing conditions, help local organisations prioritise preparedness, or make public datasets easier to explore.
The goal is not to predict the future with false certainty. The goal is to turn credible information into a clearer decision, while communicating uncertainty honestly.
Submit a live demo, source links for all datasets, and a short methodology note. Include at least one example showing how the system behaves when data is missing, outdated, or contradictory.
